How the conversion works
Every peptide dose calculation is one equation: dose ÷ concentration = volume. Concentration is the total peptide (in mcg) divided by the volume of bacteriostatic water you added (in mL). Once you know the volume in mL, multiply by 100 to get U-100 syringe units.
Worked example: a 10 mg vial reconstituted with 2 mL of BAC water has a concentration of 5,000 mcg/mL. A 250 mcg dose is 250 ÷ 5,000 = 0.05 mL, which is 5 units on a U-100 insulin syringe.
