BPC-157 oral vs injectable: what the rodent literature actually shows

Sikiric and colleagues have published rodent data suggesting BPC-157 retains biological activity when administered orally, likely because it is a fragment of body-protective protein derived from gastric juice and appears resistant to gastric proteases. Reported effective oral doses in rats are broadly similar to intraperitoneal doses on a per-kg basis.

Two caveats matter for research design. First, none of this has been replicated in humans. Second, bioavailability studies with tritium-labelled peptide are limited, so absolute oral bioavailability numbers are not well characterised.
