Ipamorelin + CJC-1295 (UK research): dosing conventions and the pulsatility question
Ipamorelin is a selective ghrelin/GHSR agonist that triggers a growth-hormone (GH) pulse without the cortisol or prolactin rises seen with earlier GHRPs. CJC-1295 (without DAC — sometimes called Mod GRF 1-29) is a GHRH analogue with a short half-life (~30 min). Paired, they produce a synergistic GH pulse that decays quickly, preserving the body's pulsatile pattern.
Typical rodent-scaled protocols in the literature use 100 mcg of each, subcutaneously, 2–3× daily, separated from meals to avoid the GH-blunting effect of elevated glucose or free fatty acids. Long-acting CJC-1295 with DAC is a different compound with a ~6–8 day half-life — it produces a non-pulsatile "bleed" of GH and is not interchangeable.
